Sneaking One In

Quite honestly, I almost forgot about this altogether.

Just sitting around the house today, watching our boys while my wife gets some shut-eye after working 3rd trick last night. God love that woman!

We are both putting in extra work these days in an effort to pay off some of our debt, and put ourselves in a better place financially. Hopefully someday soon we will be debt free!!! How awesome that will be!!

That's all from me for now, but check back later to see if I have anything else to say.

At least the gap wasn't as great as it was last time. We haven't even hit the one year mark yet!

Too Busy to Blog...

... That's what I am, so don't get used to hearing from me in this venue very often.
So for both of you who care, here's a brief update:

Time to work... Good.
Time to play... Great.
Time with my ever-growing family... Priceless!

Here is a pic of my boys and I at the hospital when the youngest was born.

Run to the Bank...

Of the Ohio river that is. Yes we did it again, only this time we went to Portsmouth, Oh. and took Trin's younger Brother (T-Bro) along for the ride. He also rides a motorcycle, and had not been on a trip of this length before.

We were all a little saddle sore by the time we got back to Oz's house, but it was well worth it.

On the way down, we pulled into this BP/pizza place/casino (I kid you not) to stretch our legs and grab a bite to eat. I got a really nice salad, real cheap, Oz got a Super Sub (And I mean SUPER!), and T-Bro got a personal pizza. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Heading on down the road, we cruised into Waverly, Oh. only to stop at another BP (pure coincidence) for a break. Shortly after that, we were headed for Portsmouth.

We were misinformed that there was a festival happening along the river this weekend, but it's actually over Labor Day weekend. If it was this weekend, we would have found it. We even went as far as Wheelersburg in our search.

One thing we did do while in P-town, was cruise along the flood wall, and take in all the beautiful murals that have been painted on each section of it. They really were something to behold. We even stopped long enough to pose in front of one such mural that we all really liked for some reason.

Here's the pic.

Thank goodness for T-Bro's camera phone, or else we wouldn't even have this.

On the way back we snagged some refreshments and hit the road. We only stopped once for any length of time, and that was when we got back to the first BP to refuel. We were home before dark, but more importantly, before the rain started! A good time was had by all.

Hey there, I've got to ask a question. I see that you have Michael Cramblet listed as your first best friend. I'm interested in that because I'm Michael Cramblet and that's not a real common name. Did you ever live in Michigan?

Road Trip!

So yesterday, Oz and I got our motors running, and headed out on the highway. We were looking for adventure, and whatever came our way.

We took off about 9:30 in the morning, and headed south to the town of Gallipolis, Oh. By noon, we rolled into a little place called Remo's Footlong Hotdogs, where I managed to wolf down 18" of dog with coney sauce, pickles, onions, and mustard. WHEW!

Not to be outdone, Oz took great pride in saying that he consumed more than double the dog than I had. 42"!! Unbelievable!

After Remo's we headed back into the sticks to his family's farm where we were able to fire off our handguns we brought with us.

While we were effectively killing the hill behind our targets, a curious doe came wandering out of the woods not 200 yards to our left. Obviously, I had to take a shot, so I walked quietly closer to her, as close as I could get (150 yds) and snapped a picture.

After using up all our ammo, we sat a spell with his folks, before cruising down along the Ohio river to see some more of his relatives. We visited for a while, then decided to check out a large dam just a few miles down river before heading back into town for a bite to eat at the Shake Shop. It was a nice old style place with burgers, hand-dipped ice cream, and such.

One of the guys that worked there gave us good instructions on an alternate way home, and we started back before dark. With only a handful of stops along the way, we got back home about 10:30 last night.

We had a BLAST! Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Glad you had a great time! We, on the other hand, had a miserable time without you yesterday. :-(

What's up WWWorld?

I am, for one. I really should be in bed, but I just keep doing one thing after the other on the computer, and have now shifted over to catching up on blogs I haven't read in quite some time. Go figure!

I've gone to bed really late/early a few times lately after falling asleep sitting up on the couch watching T.V. shows, but it has been forever since I just kept on going until 4 in the morning. I don't even feel tired either. What's the deal? No more caffeine than usual. Normal day at work. Just extra energy and alertness for no aparent reason.

I hope I get enough rest for work tomorrow... um today, that is. But it IS Friday!

What A Wonderful World This Would Be.

If I could just win... the lottery!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Or maybe I'll pick up a briefcase some lady sets down in the airport.

At any rate, some huge sum of money should come my way soon, and wipe away all of my debt.

Maybe I should get one of those prayer cloths from a televangelist or something. -Nah!

I know it's not much of a post, but it's a post. Money is just in the front of my mind right now since I've been doing our taxes, and paying bills. Sorry!

Five Benjamins and a Craig.

Weird title huh?

Well, that describes what happened to me this afternoon. We were to receive our reward for reaching last months goal, which we had done handily I might add, of renting 35 units in 1 month. The upper management decided how many and of which style and phase they had to be in.

The prize: $500 cash money - tax free!

It was about 1:30 when we gathered at our office to meet the CFO of my company, along with our regional manager, and one Mr. Craig Krenzel who now works for my company in some capacity. It was hard to decide what I enjoyed more... shaking the hand of such a personality, or being handed the $500 bucks --- NAH!

Better yet, they credited Craig for finding the way for them to be able to even offer the incentive program. Smart Man!

Best yet, we have a new challenge from now til March 10th. The unit allotments are different, but the payoff is the same.

GO TEAM!
